It’s boring. I stopped tumblin’. whatevs. SC2 is working out well, platinum in everything right now. 2v2s I’m playing masters/diamonds so I think I’m gonna get diamond maybe soonish. Whatever. Skysky.180 Add me <3
This is like 300+ replays since I never upload anything anymore. Meh. gl hf watching them, I guess if you wanted to you could look at my profile and find out which are which but Idk. Nobody wants replays lolololololol.
I really haven’t been posting. I’ve been streaming a lot though. It’s always at random times, so Idk. I usually have some theorycrafting going on, too, with my Skype gaming call. It’s pretty fun. I believe the past few streams are saved by justin.tv? Well, if you wanna check it out, the link will be on my page in the description. Thanks.
Oh, and I’m rank 1-10 in silver [fluctuating], I think I was gonna be put in to gold because I was playing gold level players, but I tried to do the funday monday game and I lost like 6 or 7 games. Meh. I’ll get gold, it’s not really important.
Oh and my domain got suspended. Idk wtf is up with that. Eh. Idk. I’ll figure it out.
Season 2: 12-11
I lost to another faggot terran who massed up marines.
Tonights not my night.
I can’t even type correctly.
What was going through my head “Hmm, ling seen 2 rax, and about 5 marines, better throw down a roach warren”….*puts down roach warren*…”Well, it’s cross positions, I’d…
Hmm, I can only post one comment. Well, the first comment I posted [which got erased] I recommended you try using banelings more against Terran, since banelings rape marine/marauder, and if the Terran goes for more tech you can still use them to break a wall in easily.
Spanishiwa’s Zerg build is something that’s pretty new to the public, it’s a really high econ build that relies mostly on queens and spines for defense early on, and leaves you really far ahead of your opponent in economy. You might want to check it out, since earlier on you just need to focus on improving your macro, if you’re only dealing with one build for all three matchups it might help you get the hang of the mechanics more. I haven’t really used it yet, I haven’t played in like two days, but from what I’ve seen it seems to work pretty well.
Oh, and roaches aren’t that useful in ZvT, marauders pretty much own them and they’re not too great vs marines either. speedling/baneling would work better IMO, unless you’re trying to do some sneaky stuff with tunneling roaches. Check out the unit info on liquipedia for Zerg units and see how they work in each matchup, that will help you a lot later on when what units you make really matter, vs now in earlier leagues, where you just get more units and win.
Meh. 58% win/loss. Not that bad.
Today I wanted to just practice spending my money, so I went all Speedlings and got only one geyser for gas. I played on Metalopolis 5 of the 7 games, and lost 4 of the 7. Blah. Every time I lost was to someone who went 14 gas/pool or pool/gas and just didn’t stop making Zerglings. I was doing 14 gas/pool too, but I switched off between drones/lings, so they had so many more lings. One of the wins, though, my opponent went Mutalisk and I just destroyed him with only lings. Really shows you how important spending your money is. I wish Blizzard saved replays, I played these at a LAN place and I forgot to upload the replays somewhere. Meh.
More like getting gold league right now. Brb streaming. Should be up in just a minute.
I kinda stopped blogging about my 200 game challenge, but I’ve still been doing it. I stopped keeping track of my games because I’m going to extend this from 200 games to infinite games. Watching my replays and seeing what I am doing wrong *really* helps me improve. Sure, laddering is great, and you will get better by laddering, but instead of just losing game after game to the same thing until you finally figure out how to stop it, just take a look at the replay of your loss. You can see what you did that made you lose, what you could have done that would have stopped that specific reason you lost, and maybe even turned it around into a win.
When I first started seeing 4-gate pushes I had NO idea how to counter them. I would try to get units and get stomped, I would try to econ/units and get stomped. I would even throw down a bunch of spines some times and not get stomped, but then end up losing because I spent so much on spines early on. It wasn’t until I watched my replays that I noticed, NO 4-gate push comes earlier than 6 minutes, so hey, let’s tech up and expand until around 5 minutes, and then just pump a bunch of roaches/lings before I see him move out. I don’t think I’ve lost to a single 4-gate since then, except when the opponent puts up a really nice proxy pylon that I don’t see. In fact, I usually win against 4-gate pushes right after the first attack, now that I know how to defend against them.
It really works the same for any other builds too. If you seem to be getting rolled by build xyz, watch replays against it. Maybe you don’t want to come up with a whole new build, instead just see what you can change in your current build that will defend against that build. If you scout it coming, do whatever it is you need to defend yourself, and you’ve probably put yourself in a better position than your opponent, just by defending his pushes.
Oh, and gold league, watch out. I’m on my way up. ;D
Season 2: 1-2
If a game of SC determined if I would live or die, and they put me against a Protoss, I would probably die.
I. Have. No. Fucking. Idea. What to do against Protoss.
I went with 13 gas, 12 pool. I wanted to do some early aggression. But against Protoss? That’s impossible.
I got in…
Are you putting your replays up anymore? I’d take a look at some of them whenever I had time, if you do. I’ve heard quick speedlings do well against a protoss 4gate that isn’t really zealot heavy [Unless you have like just way more than he can handle], and even if it’s a better opponent if you force him to waste his sentry FFs [pretend to be doing on his ramp and retreat, act like you’re going to counter-attack as he’s coming up your ramp, stuff like that.]
Usually against a toss I like to 15 hatch into roach/ling early on, since roaches pretty much demolish gateway units [stalkers not so much, unless on creep and/or with the speed upgrade.] Toss is my hardest matchup though, so Idk. Watch, watch, watch your replays! If you notice that all of your ZvP games you get crushed before you have enough defense, maybe you’re focusing too much on econ and need to make a few more units to defend. If you’re expanding early and don’t have roaches fast enough, maybe you need to drop a spine down at your natural. Keep your defense where you’re going to get attacked. You said you had all of your units in your main and he FF’ed you in, you should be keeping your units at your natural since there’s really no way he can get in your base anywhere else. Lings, especially, since they can’t defend against air, there’s no point in keeping them so far back.
Also, right now, I would really just focus on getting one build and practice that build over and over and over. Early on, it isn’t really good to experiment because you aren’t that familiar with timings/mechanics. Really, if you focus on one build, you’ll just naturally start doing the builds without thinking, you’ll get timings down, and you’ll be better at judging your opponents based on previous games you’ve played. Not only will this help you win these games, but you’ll start to realize little things, like “If I 10 gas/10pool against a toss, and 99% of toss attacks don’t come until 6 minutes, that means that I can delay that gas/pool a bit more and I’ll have more minerals to build drones. Then, at 4:50 I can start making attacking units and defend most toss attacks” or something like that.
[That statistic isn’t true, btw. It is mostly true for a 4-gate, which is why I like to hatch first against most toss players, but that doesn’t mean I do/should fast expand every ZvP.]
My builds [Normally]:
ZvT: 14 Hatch 14 Pool
ZvP: 15 Hatch
ZvZ: 1 Base Roach Expand or 1 Base Roach Tech depending on what I see.
[Apparently, Destiny’s new 1 base infestor build is all the rage now, and can destroy this, but I’ve yet to see it used against me properly. I want to try this, but my micro isn’t that good, so I’m afraid I’d lose my infestors, hah.]
tl;dr: I recommend reading my reasoning above and not this, but that’s up to you.
- Don’t mix up your strategies so much. Focus on one build [per matchup] and stick to it. Once you’re more comfortable with it, it’ll be stronger and faster, and you’ll improve your game in no time. Zerg builds!
- Watch your replays! [ESPECIALLY YOUR LOSSES!] [And put them up for people (read: me) to watch and help you with?]
- Keep lings/roaches at your natural once you get it. No point in leaving your only defense all the way in the back of your base, right?
- If you see you’re going to have trouble defending an attack, throw down spines [or spores if it’s air and you have no air defense.]
- If a toss has sentries, fake him out to get him to waste FFs before he gets to your base.
EDIT: Holy shit I write a lot. I’ve noticed, whenever I talk/argue about SC2 builds I go on long ass rants. Well, read the tl;dr if you want, but I kind of explained why these points are important in the main text.
School is poo. I hate homework. I just wanna play StarCraft, hang out with my amazing girlfriend, and then go play more StarCraft when I can’t be with her. Stupid MineCraft has like made me not play StarCraft though. I’m like lolol awesome house then lolol troll, then clean up my troll so people don’t get super mad, so I can troll another day. But it’s the worst game ever. You don’t like, do anything. >_< Bitches ain’t shit but ho’s and tricks. Blah.

Now, as I said probably three hours ago to myself, time to write this paper. No Facebook, no Tumblr, nothing except Google for paper-related searches, Word, and my musics in the background. Hopefully putting this online will motivate me to not be distracted.
All I wanna do is play some games. All I wanna do is 1v1… Maybe some Phantom Mode or some Roach Snake… That’s all I wanna do… That’s all I wanna do Blizzard/Battle.net….
